Dallas heads to bye week 6-1 after beating Minnesota

Dallas defeated Minnesota 24-14, completely shutting down the Vikings in the second half with zero points. Dallas dominated this game statistically, but two turnovers kept it close. The game could have easily been 24-7 or even worse if Dallas had finished drives.

Marion Barber had a great game, with 98 yards and 1 touchdown. He ran the ball hard and punished the Vikings defense. MB3 scored the first rushing touchdown against the Vikings all year and has the two longest runs against the Vikings defense, which is pretty good.

Tony Romo threw 31-39, which is amazing. He only threw nine passes in the second half. Greg Ellis had two sacks. Chris Canty blocked a field goal and Pat Watkins ran it back for a touchdown that put Dallas ahead for good.

I was bombarded with a lot of negativity today from the Vikings fans. It was a pathetic display of nastiness and bad taste. I hope this game taught them a lesson.

This should have been 14-7, 17-7, or 21-7 at halftime had Dallas not made some really dumb mistakes:

(1) Barber getting a first down at midfield but then losing the first down by falling backwards trying to break a tackle.
(2) Romo's fumble from the 9.
(3) Crayton's fumble.

On top of this, Folk missed a FG at the end of the half.

Not great, but we still beat a team that went to Chicago last week and scored 34 points. Good win going into the bye, even if we still have some work to do.

As the Cowboys' Offensive Coordinator, I kindly ask Not David Derush to quit criticising me. The Dallas offense has grown by leaps and bouds this year and is one of the more prolific offenses in the league. How about some freaking respect, Not David Derush?
